Effects of straw return on soil nitrogen leaching

چکیده
Nitrogen (N) is a major limiting factor for improvement in grain production. The return of straw to the soil (straw return) regarded as very effective option develop sustainable agriculture. Soil N content could be increased by because itself contains some nitrogen. However, whether retention worthy further study. In present study, laboratory simulative incubation experiment was conducted study effects addition on leaching from soil. experimental results showed that pH values with time were changed slightly different application, there no notable change relative abundance microbial taxa application at domain level, and EC did not show any clear trends after incorporation. highest 0.18 ds/m occurred 0.3%. Moreover, amounts decreased over time, higher amount added soil, greater

Nitrate leaching in a winter wheat-summer maize rotation on a calcareous soil as affected by nitrogen and straw management
Nitrate leaching is one of the most important pathways of nitrogen (N) loss which leads to groundwater contamination or surface water eutrophication. Clarifying the rates, controlling factors and characteristics of nitrate leaching is the pre-requisite for proposing effective mitigation strategies. We investigated the effects of interactions among chemical N fertilizer, straw and manure applica...
متن کاملEffects of Mulching and Nitrogen on Soil Nitrate-N Distribution, Leaching and Nitrogen Use Efficiency of Maize (Zea mays L.)
Mulching and nitrogen are critical drivers of crop production for smallholders of the Loess Plateau in China. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mulching and nitrogen fertilizer on the soil water content, soil nitrate-N content and vertical distribution in maize root-zone. The experiment was conducted over two consecutive years and used randomly assigned field plots with...
متن کاملEffects of Different Tillage and Straw Return on Soil Organic Carbon in a Rice-Wheat Rotation System
Soil management practices, such as tillage method or straw return, could alter soil organic carbon (C) contents. However, the effects of tillage method or straw return on soil organic C (SOC) have showed inconsistent results in different soil/climate/cropping systems. The Yangtze River Delta of China is the main production region of rice and wheat, and rice-wheat rotation is the most important ...

C. Alister, M. Araya, and M. Kogan. 2011. Effects of physicochemical soil properties of five agricultural soils on herbicide soil adsorption and leaching. Cien. Inv. Agr. 38(2): 243-251. Once pesticides reach the soil, there are several factors that affect their soil behavior. To identify the principal soil and herbicide properties that control their adsorption and leaching, a study of five Chi...
متن کاملNitrogen Uptake and Leaching on Greens
Superintendents know that management of putting greens is an art. Greens are often made of high-porosity sand that does not retain water or nutrients very effectively. Also, putting green grasses are cut extremely short, which does not allow a deep root system to develop and take up nutrients from deep in the soil profile. Therefore, putting greens require frequent irrigation and fertilizer app...
